I'm uncertain that it uninstalled properly. I eventually got rid of it (at least as a running process). The only thing I can think of is that before my FTP server started misbehaving I had spent some time testing Pure-FTPd on my Mac as a server and used Pure FTPd Manager. The IPhone app and SmartFTP had the most successful connections but still sometimes failed and had extremely poor data rate. The IPhone app was also tested using the external data connection (Edge network, not in WIFI mode). Opera (Windows & Mac, which worked sometimes but had very bad data rate - LAN side)įTPonTheGo (an IPhone app - External connection).Īll the attempts were tested from within the LAN using local IP and then by forcing the external IP (but coming from within the LAN side of the router). I've tried various client environments includingĬMD.exe (windows - LAN side) įrom *Internet explorer* (is in PASV mode - LAN side) Basically, my FTP server sits behind a NAT router and I get similar behavior when I access it from another computer (within LAN) and when I try to access it from an FTP client that's running off of my IPhone (the IPhone is using the data internet access and not WIFI, so it's outside the LAN). Actually, I'm trying both LAN and External connections. ![]()
